Postcards from April

I'm a bit late in posting this as we are already one week through May! Here are some of my favourite postcards that I received in the mail for the month of April! I've been keeping up with Postcrossing lately so most of them are from some fellow Postcrossers - random postcards received in the mail from random members of the site. It is so wonderful to receive mail from around the world in my mailbox! A day is made much better when it is a happy mail day :)

The one I posted above is from China and shows the Dragon Boat Races.

This postcard was mailed from Spain, but upon looking up the town (Morbegno) it appears that it is from Northern Italy! I love the hills in the background overlooking a quiet farming life.

This card of the Kremlin in Moscow, Russia was a lovely surprise - I mailed an official Postcrossing card to this member, and she offered to mail me a card in return. She wrote a very nice message on the back of the card! I wrote her another postcard back. Hopefully we can keep exchanging cards!

This card shows a beautiful church in Ukraine - the St. Oleksandr kostel - construction completed in 1842.

This one shows an artist's sketch of Minsk, Belarus from 1955. The postcard actually has this picture smaller on a white background, but for some reason my scanner only scanned the image and not the white background. Hmm! It is a really cool card though!

And lastly, this Where's Waldo postcard from California really brought back some memories for me! I used to love looking through Where's Waldo books when I was a kid! Can you see him?

There you have it - some of my favourite postcards from this past month! My whole collection is available online if you'd like to see it! Thank you to everyone who sent me mail this month! I love seeing images from all around the world mailed right to my home!
